We took a trip down to LA (well Anaheim) to have Jayce see his pal Mickey Mouse for his first birthday. We stopped at McDonald's at a halfway point and got Jayce a happymeal toy from the movie Kung-Fu Panda. Stangely when we were handed said toy it looked more like Megatron from the Transformers movie. WTG McDonald's! Anyway... many hours and half a bag of trail-mix later we came to our hotel in Anaheim. Jayce was excited to see the carpet and spent lots of time playing on it with the Showtime movie guide provided for our stay. Once we were unpacked we hopped into our car and went to Disnleyland. We had to park all the way at the Pumbaa parking lot due to the high volume of visitors for the 4th of July.
There were many long lines with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, but Jayce took it all in stride and did not fuss a single bit.
He patiently waited and waited, but finally got to meet Mickey Mouse!!!
As you can tell he was a little confused about seeing the Mouse on TV in person, but behind that pacifier is a smile :)The next day we took Jayce to Hollywood and then Beverly Hills. He loved the Beverly Center and laughed and smiled a lot there :)
This is a picture of us on our way back home (no dad's not winking - it was very bright). We stopped at this gas station to grab a Subway sandwich. We thought the sandwich was okay, however, we don't believe it was an official Subway restaurant due to the menu graphics and fonts looking as if they were scanned in from a magazine and then blown up 500%. Very pixelated and grainy indeed. High quality H20.We returned to our CR-V family road-trip mobile and noticed a large group of flies had joined us. This made for some swervy fun on the highway as we had the windows down at 90 miles an hour shooshing flies out. Good times :)
